Challenge 22 Paula's Challenge 'Bling Tastic'

This week over at the One Stop Challenge Blog it is Paula's turn to set the challenge. She has chosen the great theme of 'Bling Tastic'.
We all love a bit of bling so all you need to do is add some to your craft work to make it sparkle!
I really enjoyed doing my butterfly bling card. I stamped the butterfly then coloured it in using shimmer chalk. I mounted this onto some patterned paper. I took a sheet of lovely patterned blue card stock from a pocket full of posies stack and stuck a load of 2.5mm clear gems on the dotted circles. It really sparkles when held upto the light. I added a 'spring' peel off sticker which you can't see very well from the picture.

One Stop Card Crafts have donated this weeks prize of a Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Set, so pop over to the challenge for loads of inspiration from our design team, details of how to enter and good luck everyone.

Rainbow Lady's Challenge 52

Ok I'm on a roll today and thought I would do another challenge. I came across Rainbow Lady's Challenge Blog and she is celebrating her birthday and her blogs birthday this week, so she has set the theme 'birthday'. I had some nice paper and wanted to make a nice floral card. I love the sentiment stamp I found in my stash, I think it came free with a magazine.

Creative Card Crew Challenge

This week over at the Creative Card Crew Challenge blog the theme is no paper, keep it clean. I have made my card using card, flowers, ribbon and stick on pearls. I embossed some of the card with a texture plate I found and hadn't used before. This card is for my mother in law, so hope she doesn't visit my blog before Sunday, lol.

One Stop Crafts Challenge Maggies Sketch

This week over at the One Stop Craft Challenge it is Maggies turn to set the challenge. She has set a great sketch and all you need to do is add a doodle. I used the new Crafters Companion Flower Fairy Buttercup on my card. The doodle I did on my card is the corners using a sakura pen. (I am not very confident when it comes to doodling on a card, so I did it in pencil first so if I wasn't happy with it I could erase it and start again).
So please visit the challenge for more inspiration from our design team and details of how to enter and this prize.

Ivor the Engine Card & Picture Project

Ivor the Engine Card
To make this card you will need;
Ivor the Engine Decoupage Sheet 3
Patterned Paper
White card measuring 24.5cm x 17cm
Dark Green Card
Train Button
Light Green Card

Double Sided Foam Pads
Glue

Glue Dot

Craft Knife
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors

1) Cut the second and third images from the decoupage sheet and make up using the foam pads.
2) Fold the white card in half to create your card.
3) Using the pencil and ruler draw a line 1cm from the edge of the sides and top of the card front.
4) Place the image on the card keeping it inside the drawn border, and draw around the outline of the top of the image leaving a gap.
5) Using a craft knife carefully cut along the outline you have just drawn. Then cut along the border line that is on each side and along the top of your image line.
6) Glue the patterned paper to the front of the card and turn the card over. Using a craft knife cut the patterned paper to the same shape as the card.
7) Using double sided tape stick the dark green card to the inside of the card. I have cut the dark green card to 15cm x10cm so there is a white border around it.Using the double sided tape stick the image to the front of the card.
8) Cut a small oval from the light green card and after cutting the loop of the back of the train button, stick it to the front using a glue dot and then onto the dark green card.

To make the canvas you will need;
18cmx12cm Canvas
Ivor the Engine decoupage sheet 2
Glossy Black Card
Dark Green Card
Train Buttons
Double Sided Foam Pads
Glue Dots
Double Sided Tape

Craft Knife
Scissors
Ruler

1) Make up the decoupage image using the foam pads.
2) Cut the dark green and black glossy card to 17cm x 11.5cm.
3) Stick the black card onto the canvas using double sided tape.
4) Using the craft knife and the ruler cut a rectangle, .5cm away from the left side, top and bottom, from the green card measuring 14.5cm x 10cm. This will leave you with enough card to the right of the rectangle for the buttons to fit.
5) Stick the green card on top of the black card using double sided foam pads. Using double sided tape stick the image onto the black card showing under the green border.
6) Cut the loops of the back of the buttons and stick onto the green frame using glue dots.
