Little Lovins Football Keyring

You Will Need..
1 Sheet of Shrink Plastic
1 Keyring
Beads
Hole Punch, Eylet Tool,
Instructions.
* Ink up the stamp and stamp this onto the sheet of shrink plastic (be careful not to smudge). Now colour the image on the opposite side that you stamped. The colour will intense when the image has been shrunk.
* Cut around the image leaving around 2mm from the edge of the printed image, then with your eyelet tool punch a hole where you will be putting your keyring fob.
*Using your heat tool, hold this over the shrink plastic, use a pair of tweezers or something similar so it won't blow away.
* Now to attach the image to the keyring, I have used a piece of wire that I have beaded and then simply put this onto the keyring fob but you really can just attach the image to the keyring without the beads.

One Stop Craft Challenge 12

It is Saturday again and time for a new challenge. Last weeks challenge which was set by Donna, 'Take a punch' saw some lovely craft work entered, so a big thank you to all who submitted they're craft work and a winner will be picked at random later today.

This weeks challenge has been set by Eleanor and the theme for this week is.....

'Craft like an Egyptian or Countries in general'

As always any type of craft work is welcome.

This week we have up for grabs...
Jolly Nation Friends Rubber Stamp

Donated by Shelley from One Stop Card Crafts

The card I made is with an Egyptian theme and i used Kanban Toppers which I love.

Egyptian Pyrmage Topper Card

Items used:

Kanban A4 Foiled & Die cut Toppers - Red Egyptian Goddesses

Sheet of A4 Kanban Card - Papyrus

Sheet of Kanban Foiled Adhesive Paper Ribbons - Egyptian

Foam Pads

Adhesive 9mm Double Sided Tape

Tools:

Paper Trimmer, Score Board

Instructions:

1) Take the papyrus card and using your score board crease and fold to A5.

2) Remove the four toppers from the topper sheet, keep one to one side.

3) Take another topper and using a paper trimmer cut 8mm of each side of the topper.

4) With the next topper trim 16mm from all edges.

5) The last topper then wants to be trimmed, again around all the edges by 24mm.

6) Take a piece of the paper ribbon, peel away the backing and secure across the middle of the card, then using double sided tape, fix the original sized topper to the centre of the card.

7) Using foam pads (I used 2mm and doubled them up) carefully build up the image to create a pyramage topper, making sure you fix them largest to smallest.

8) To finish the card, I used some of the gold border that was still on the topper sheet just to create 2 little pyramids in the top corners of the card.

Rosie Kanban Toppers Review

Shelley from One Stop Card Crafts sent me these lovely Kanban topper's and card to review The Topper's are called Rosie and Card is called Vintage Poppy. As soon as i saw them i fell in love with them they look so stylish and elegant and they are so easy touse. They are die cut so no scissors required but my top tip is just to use a craft knife or scissors to just snip the topper out of the card that way you rip and spoil your topper's.

They are ideal for making that last minute card the 2 card's i made took no time at all. I would really recommend these Kanban items as i loved working with them and i think they are great value for money.

You Will Need
A4 Lilac Spotted Card
Little Lovin's Stamp Set 1
4 Dovecraft Metallic Eyelets
Lilac Polka Dot Ribbon
White Card for stamping
Colouring medium

Tools
Score Board
Eyelet Setter
Scissors
Double Sided Tape
Pencil
3mm Foam Pads

Instructions:
1. Take your A4 Lilac Spotted card and score it at 2inches, 5 inches, 7 inches and 10 inches. Rotate the card by 90 degrees and score it at 2 inches and 7 inches.

2. Remove the sections as shown in the photograph below using your craft scissors. The photograph shows the bottom of the box at the top and the lid is the piece at the bottom. Snip down the sections of the bottom of the box to the first score line. Then make a scallop pattern on the lid piece. On the scalloped piece make 2 eyelet holes and attach 2 of the eyelets into them.

3. Fold your box along the creases. Attach double sided tape one of the larger bottom sections and close these up by folding the 2 small side sections in first, followed by the large section without the DST and finally the large section with the DTS. Remember to tuck the flap on the side inside the box. Secure the flap with either more double sided tape or some strong glue. Pinch the side sections at the top of the box.

4. On the lid, make another score line half way between the edge and the score at the back of the box. Fold this piece over to the front of the box. With a pencil, mark the 2 places for the eyelets and attach the final 2 eyelets in place.

5. Fill the box with your chosen treats. Thread ribbon through the eyelets and secure it with a bow.

6. Stamp your image onto plain white card and colour it in with your chosen medium. Cut the image out, attach 3mm foam pads to the reverse (I only used one pad at the bottom of the balloon because it overlaps the lid slightly). And stick your stamp to the box.

Kanban Concept Cards

I have been playing this weekend with some Kanban Concept card kits that are new in stock. We have 12 new designs in stock and here are some pictures of what I made up.

They are really easy to make, so if you want a nice card but don't have a great deal of time then these are perfect, these concept cards are also perfect for beginners who will find it easy to pick up the first steps of card making. Each design comes with a pre creased card blank with envelope, borders, sentiments and toppers. You can leave them as they are or add gems, ribbons, brads, glitter etc. Also when you have finished there are plenty of bits left so you can create more cards, tags, bookmarks and more. Which means they are great value for money. I am currently in the process of making some cards with the left overs so you can see what I mean.

They are already a popular seller at our online craft store and looking at the designs it is easy to see why.

Scrap White card
Colouring Medium

Red Spotty Ribbon
Buttons
Coloured Thread
Double Sided Tape
Stix 2 Doubled Sided Foam Pads
Black Stamping Ink

2) Cut another circle from the red paper measuring 5.5cm across.
3) Cut a large circle from the blue paper measuring 8.5cm and then cut a smaller circle measuring 8cm from the middle. This will leave you with a thin open circle.

5) Using the double sided tape stick the ribbon to card 2cm from the bottom.
6) Stick the open circle to the top corner of the card.

8) Add the image to the card using double sided foam pads on the image and double sided tape behind the red circle. It sits in the centre of the card and the red circle will over lap both blue circles.

One Stop Crafts Challenge 10

First I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year. The first Saturday of 2009 brings a new challenge. Challenge 10 has been set by myself as below.

Please feel free to rotate the sketch and remember as usual all crafts are welcome.

This weeks prize is a lovely stack has been donated by Shelley of One Stop Card Crafts

Here is my take on the sketch

How to make this card:

Materials: 1x A5 Brilliant White Card Blank

Sheet of backing paper

Little Lovins Stamp Set 1

3mm Party time Polka Dot Ribbon - Blue

Button

Stick on Rhinestone Squares

Adhesive, Foam Pads, Pigment ink, U-Mount Cushion and glue, medium of you choice to colour the stamped image

Instructions:

1) Take the Stamp and mount on to the cushion (or a mounting system of your choice). Stamp the image on to a piece of plain white card. When dry, colour using a medium of your choice. When you are happy with your image, cut out.
