OWZAT!!
For This Project, You Will Need:
Equipment:
Scissors
12” Rule
Pencil and Eraser
Craft Knife and Cutting Mat
Materials:
“Craft UK” Rubber Stamping Sheet – Sports Collection – Cricket
Black Ink Pad
Colouring Pens or Paint
A4 Sheet Blue Card
A4 Sheet White Card
A4 Sheet Blue Paper
12” x 12” Sheet Bazzill Basics Paper – Bank Roll
Stix 2 – 2mm Double-Sided Foam Pads
Double-Sided Tape or Glue Stick
Small scrap of yellow card
Small scrap of gold card
Silver Stickles
Gold Stickles
Gold Straight Line Peel-Off (optional)
Method:
1.
Fold the A4 blue card in half.
2.
Cut a piece of the blue paper to measure 10cm x 16cm and a piece of the Bazzill Basics Paper to measure 12cm x 16cm.
3.
Take the piece of blue paper and draw circle with a diameter of 6cm – leave a gap of 3cm between the circle and the right hand edge of the paper and the top edge of the paper.
4.
Mark the centre point of the circle and lightly draw a cross straight through to meet the edge of the circle. Turn your paper slightly and do the same again, so that you end up with 8 roughly equal segments (they don’t need to be exactly the same).
5.
Cut along all of the straight lines with a craft knife and erase your pencil marks.
6.
Fold back each of the segments in turn and fix in place with a double layer of foam pads to create an ‘explosion’.
7.
Apply silver Stickles along the edges of the ‘explosion’ and allow to dry.
8.
Once the Stickles has dried, attach the blue paper to the top half of the card, using double-sided tape or glue stick, and attach the Bazzill Basics paper to the bottom half. Take the excess round to the back of the card and edge with a gold straight line peel-off (optional).
9.
Stamp the cricketer and ball images, as shown, onto the sheet of white card and colour with your medium of choice. I used 3 layers for the cricketer and two layers for the ball and decoupaged these, using double-sided foam pads.
10.
Apply silver Stickles to the cricketer’s face guard and gold Stickles to the 3 rows of stitching on the ball and allow to dry.
11.
Once the Stickles has dried, apply the cricketer and ball to the card, as shown, using double-sided foam pads.
12.
Stamp the bowler image onto the white card (I used only one layer), cut away the stumps and apply to the card, using double-sided tape or glue stick.
13.
Stamp the “Owzat!!” greeting onto a piece of yellow card, measuring 1.5cm x 4cm.
14.
Layer the greeting onto a piece of gold card, measuring 2cm x 4.5cm, using double-sided tape and apply to the card, as shown, using double-sided tape.
